Innovation speaker Philip Rosedale is the creator of FreeVue, a cutting-edge Internet video conferencing product later bought by RealNetworks. A year after acquiring FreeVue, RealNetwork appointed Rosedale as its CTO and Vice President.
Rosedale started Linden Lab in 1999 after he left RealNetworks. That is where he oversaw the development of a virtual civilization known as Second Life. Ultimately, Second Life became an open-ended virtual world.
In 2010, he co-founded LoveMachine. The company serves as a research and development center for numerous new ideas on commerce, computing, and intelligence. As a result, Worklist, a worldwide community of web developers, was born. Thanks to this experience, Rosedale created Coffee and Power, a website that allowed people to offer small jobs and services through the use of a free market system and distributed work concepts. In 2013, the Coffee & Power team rebranded as High Fidelity. The company then developed a new virtual reality platform for emerging VR headsets. As of the beginning of 2022, it has shifted its focus to spatial audio technology.
