Before establishing its investment company, Kai-Fu Lee served as Google China’s President. In addition, he previously worked at SGI, Microsoft, and Apple.

    Kai-Fu Lee established Microsoft Research China, which MIT Technology Review listed as the best research facility in the world. The lab eventually became Microsoft Research Asia. Several Chinese artificial intelligent experts trained at the lab. The list of experts includes leaders at Tencent, Baidu, Lenovo, Alibaba, Haier, and Huawei. Dr. Lee worked at Apple, where he oversaw artificial intelligence efforts in speech and natural language highlighted on Good Morning America and the Wall Street Journal. He wrote 10 United States patents and over 100 conference and journal papers. Kai-Fu Lee has accumulated over three decades of experience in AI research, investment, and development.

    Dr. Lee studied Computer Science at Columbia University and Carnegie Mellon University. He has achieved incredible things throughout his career. In fact, he was in the Times 100 in 2013. In addition, he was named to the Asian Business Leader 2018 and the WIRED 25 Icons lists.
