Political speaker Fredrik Reinfeldt ‘s involvement in both international and Swedish politics started more than 25 years ago. Fredrik created the New Moderates and became an ally of three more center and center-right parties. During Reinfeldt’s time as Prime Minister, the alliance made of four parties won two consecutive elections. It ruled over two coalition governments, one in 2006 and one in 2014. This was the most prolonged non-socialist government era in recent Swedish history.
Under Fredrik’s leadership as Prime Minister, Sweden’s economy and labor market underwent a significant transformation. The transformation allowed Sweden to become among the most competitive European countries. Even though there was a financial crisis, the number of new employment generated increased dramatically. The Swedish economy experienced more significant growth rates and more stable public finances than the rest of Europe. Furthermore, Sweden was the only country in the European Union to have its national debt reduced throughout the financial crisis.
Following his defeat in the 2014 election, Reinfeldt declared that he would resign as Prime Minister of Sweden and head of the Moderate Party. That year, Stefan Löfven replaced speaker Fredrik Reinfeldt. Moreover, he left the Riksdag in 2014 and was replaced by Anna Kinberg Batra in 2015.
In 2015, Reinfeldt revealed that he had founded his own company, Fredrik Reinfeldt AB. During that same year, he released Halfway, an autobiography that talks about his 25 years in politics.
In 2016, Fredrik became chair of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative. The EITI is a collaboration between government, civil society, oil, gas, mining companies, and investors committed to effective and transparent natural resource management. They created the EITI Standard, which 49 countries decided to adopt. Fredrik left EITI in 2019.
Between 2016 and 2020 Mr. Reinfeldt served as Senior Advisor to Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Since 2016 he is also Political Advisor to Nordic Capital, a leading Northern Europe private equity investor.
In August 2019 he was appointed chair of the newly formed Centrum för AMP. Centrum för AMP is a centre of excellence in the field of activating public spaces. It ́s a Swedish model of the BID-concept (Business improvement district) that is successful for example in New York and London.
Since May 2021 Reinfeldt is chair of Drivkraft Sverige. The Swedish Industry Organisation for Sustainable and Innovative Mobility (Drivkraft Sverige) is a national industry organisation for fuel and biofuel producers and marketing companies its members. Drivkraft Sverige works actively with the change to a carbon neutral society by 2045.

Thanks to this work and his previous one as Prime Minister of Sweden, he has accumulated great experience around global regulatory matters, especially after helping in the development of the "EITI Standard", which is already used by 49 countries around the world. In this conference, Reinfeldt will give the guidelines to follow to efficiently manage the global regulatory affairs of any company, a key aspect since in many cases, if not managed correctly, it can lead to losses of contracts, delivery of late orders or loss of money in operations with foreign currency.
Sweden was the only EU country that managed to lower its national debt during the 2008 financial crisis and has managed to position itself as one of the most competitive countries in Europe. All this happened between 2006 and 2014, when Fredrik Reinfeldt was its Prime Minister.
