Before starting The Black Swan Group, speaker Chris Voss held prestigious roles, including serving as the lead international kidnapping negotiator for the FBI. He represented the FBI on the National Security Council’s Hostage Working Group and worked as the lead crisis negotiator for the FBI’s New York City division. With 14 years on the NYC Joint Terrorist Task Force, he was involved in high-profile cases like the Blind Sheikh prosecution and the TWA Flight 800 investigation. He also negotiated the surrender of the Chase Manhattan bank robber, the first hostage taker in U.S. history to voluntarily surrender.
