Futurist speaker Alexandra Levit is the founder and CEO of Inspiration at Work. It is a woman-owned futurist consulting business that helps organizations and their employees prepare for the future. She is a columnist for the Wall Street Journal and the host of The Workplace Report. Furthermore, she has authored several books, including They Don’t Teach Corporate in College and Humanity Works: Merging People and Technologies for the Workforce of the Future.
Alexandra recently received a certificate in strategic foresight from the University of Houston. She consults, writes, and conducts research on leadership, management, human resources and technology adoption. She is also an expert on entrepreneurship, innovation, and other career and workplace trends.Above all, she has worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies, including Adecco, American Express, Deloitte, and Intuit. Moreover, Alexandra has also spoken at hundreds of organizations around the world.
Alexandra has also worked extensively with the U.S. government. She was a member of Business Roundtable’s Springboard Project, which advised the U.S. Department of Labor on current employment issues. She also collaborated with the U.S. Department of Defense to reboot its Transition Assistance Program for military veterans. Alexandra has received a federal small business grant from the National Institute of Mental Health. In partnership with the NU Feinberg School of Medicine, she is developing an intervention to alleviate the unemployment effects of the COVID-19 global pandemic.
In addition to writing for the New York Times, Fortune, Forbes, Time, U.S. News and World Report, and The Atlantic, Alexandra is also a frequent media spokesperson and is regularly featured in outlets such as National Public Radio and CNN. Alexandra is a member of the Northwestern University Council of 100 and has received the prestigious Emerging Leader Award from her alma mater. Lastly, she was also named to the Thinkers50’s Radar. She resides in Chicago, IL.
